Billing and plan

A plan limit, a missing billing account, a checkout that did not open, or the project's monthly request cap.

Symptom

Upgrade or Manage billing fails on Settings → Plan & usage, or the widget refuses a new request because this month's request limit is reached.

Causes

The project's monthly request cap is reached

Confirm. The widget shows "You've reached this month's request limit. Your team can raise it." In French: "Vous avez atteint la limite de demandes de ce mois. Votre équipe peut l'augmenter." The code next to that sentence is MDF-PLAN-004. Autopilot and limits has a number in Monthly request cap.

Fix. Raise the number, or clear it and press Save. Empty means no cap. The placeholder is No cap. Test requests and adjustments do not count. See Autopilot and limits.

There is no billing account yet

Confirm. Plan & usage shows Upgrade on Starter, Studio, and Agency, and there is no Manage billing button. Pressing Manage billing before a subscription exists returns "No billing account yet." The toast links MDF-PLAN-002. The catalog line is "This workspace has no billing account yet."

Fix. Press Upgrade on the plan you want. Checkout starts from that button. Open Manage billing only after the subscription exists. The button label while it loads is "Opening…".

Checkout or the billing portal did not open

Confirm. Upgrade toasts "Could not start checkout." Manage billing toasts "Could not open billing." Either toast links MDF-PLAN-003. The catalog line is "Billing could not be opened."

Fix. Press the button again. If it keeps failing, contact support and include the code from the toast.

If you are not the workspace owner, or an admin is viewing the workspace, the answer is "You don't have access to this." That is MDF-AUTH-003. Use the owner account.

The workspace is over its plan limit

Confirm. The page title is "This workspace is over its plan limit." and it links MDF-PLAN-001. On Free or Beta, Home can also say "No credits left this period". The widget then says "Request received — your team has been notified and will process it shortly." That credit hold is MDF-QUOTA-001, not this code. "Spend cap reached" is the same credit path.

Fix. Open Settings → Plan & usage. Press Upgrade, or raise Monthly spend cap (USD) and press Save cap. On a plan that cannot go over its credits, wait until the period resets. See Agent and pull request.
